What are Kentucky’s Income Benefit Multipliers for Age, Education?

Recognizing that limited education and advancing age impact an
employee’s post-injury earning capacity, an education and age factor,
when applicable, shall be added to the income benefit multiplier. As Simply Research subscribers know, the multipliers are as follows.

Less than 8 Years of School

If at the time of injury, the employee had less than 8 years of formal education, the multiplier shall be increased by 0.4.

Less than 12 Years, GED

If the employee had less than 12 years of education or a high school equivalency diploma, the multiplier shall be increased by 0.2

Age 60 and Up

If the employee was age 60 or older, the multiplier shall be increased
by 0.6.

55 and Up

If the employee was age 55 or older, the multiplier shall be increased by 0.4.

50 and Up

If the employee was age 50 or older, the multiplier shall be increased by 0.2.
