Irvine, CA (WorkersCompensation.com) – More than a week after a security incident forced a major workers’ compensation player to take down its communication and computer systems, the company is getting back up to speed. Without identifying the specific problem, CorVel said its systems are coming back on.

“We are pleased to report that our key systems began to come back online this past weekend and we are continuing to work around the clock until we are at full capacity. We have implemented additional advanced endpoint monitoring tools to monitor for identified and unknown threats as our remediated systems are incrementally brought back online.”

The statement from Director of Marketing Melissa Storan continued: “CorVel has been working with a team of outside forensics experts and informed federal law enforcement to investigate and appropriately address the incident. Due to the ongoing and sensitive nature of that work, we are unable to provide any further details as to the steps we have taken toward remediation.”
