TAMPA, FLA. — ReEmployAbility, the largest national provider of early return-to-work services and transitional employment programs, today announced that two of its leaders will present four educational sessions at the 80th Annual Workers' Compensation Educational Conference and 37th Annual Safety & Health Conference (WCI), taking place August 23–26, 2026, in Orlando, Florida.

WCI is one of the workers' compensation industry's premier educational events, bringing together employers, carriers, third-party administrators, healthcare professionals, and service providers to explore the trends, challenges, and innovations shaping the future of workers' compensation and workplace safety.

This year's conference comes as organizations continue to balance rising claim costs, evolving workforce expectations, growing demands for employee engagement, and rapid advances in technology. Sessions throughout the conference will explore how the industry can improve outcomes by putting data, communication, empathy, and innovation to work in support of injured workers and employers alike.

Debra Livingston, Founder and CEO of ReEmployAbility, will lead three sessions examining the factors that shape recovery outcomes and return-to-work success, including proactive compliance strategy, injured worker engagement, and the role empathy plays in improving the claims experience:

  • Safety and Analytics: Proactive Strategies for Compliance and Return-to-Work | August 24, 2026 | 2:40 PM – 3:30 PM ET
  • Engaging the Injured Worker for Better Return-to-Work Outcomes | August 25, 2026 | 9:55 AM – 10:55 AM ET
  • Empathy Isn't Soft, It's Strategic! How Empathy Curbs Litigation and Total Claim Cost | August 25, 2026 | 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM ET

Together, these sessions offer practical approaches for strengthening return-to-work programs, improving communication and collaboration among stakeholders, building trust with injured workers, and creating positive experiences that support recovery and engagement.

Abby Torres, Director of Information Technology at ReEmployAbility, will lead a fourth session on one of the industry's most talked-about technologies: artificial intelligence. The session will examine the differences between personal productivity tools and enterprise AI solutions, helping organizations weigh security, compliance, scalability, operational risk, and long-term return on investment.

  • Personal Productivity vs. Enterprise AI: Choosing the Right Approach for Workers' Compensation | August 26, 2026 | 7:45 AM – 8:45 AM ET

As AI adoption grows across the industry, the session will give attendees practical guidance on when off-the-shelf AI tools make sense and when enterprise-grade infrastructure, governance, and oversight are needed to support long-term organizational goals.

“Whether we're discussing analytics, artificial intelligence, injured worker engagement, or empathy, the goal is ultimately the same: helping people move forward while creating better outcomes for employers, carriers, and communities,” said Livingston. “WCI creates an opportunity for industry professionals to learn from one another, share ideas, and explore solutions that make a meaningful difference, and I'm honored to be part of those conversations.”

Supporting Give Kids The World

In addition to their participation in WCI's educational programming, ReEmployAbility is proud to sponsor the Give Kids The World Gala, supporting WCI's longstanding partnership with Give Kids The World Village, a nonprofit that provides cost-free wish experiences for children with critical illnesses and their families.

In 2025 alone, the WCI community raised more than $165,000 for Give Kids The World Village, bringing the conference's 12-year cumulative fundraising total to more than $1.36 million. The ongoing partnership reflects the shared commitment of WCI members, sponsors, and attendees to creating meaningful impact beyond the workplace.

“Supporting organizations that create meaningful impact aligns closely with our mission of connecting people to a greater purpose so they can have a better life,” Livingston said. “We're honored to support an event that reflects the values of compassion, service, and community that are central to both WCI and ReEmployAbility.”

Conference attendees are encouraged to attend the sessions featuring Livingston and Torres and to connect with the ReEmployAbility team throughout WCI 2026 to discuss return-to-work strategies, employee engagement, artificial intelligence, and opportunities to improve outcomes for injured workers, employers, and communities.
