It’s Not Too Late to Submit a Nomination for the 2023 Safe-in-Sound Excellence in Hearing Loss Prevention Awards


Washington,DC ( - Safe-in-Sound Excellence in Hearing Loss Prevention Award nomination period extended to August 15

The Safe-in-Sound Awards, given by NIOSH in partnership with the National Hearing Conservation Association and the Council on Accreditation of Hearing Conservationists, recognize organizations that document measurable achievements in hearing loss prevention.

Awards are granted in two categories:

  • Excellence – recognizes employers that go out of their way to ensure safety of employees’ hearing by implementing exemplary hearing loss prevention, and
  • Innovation – recognizes individuals or organizations for their dedication to fostering, creating and implementing new and unique evidence-based advances in the prevention of hearing loss and creating innovative solutions to real workplace hearing loss prevention challenges.

The Safe-in-Sound awards are a product of a partnership between NIOSH, the National Hearing Conservation Association and the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation. The awards have been presented annually since 2009.
