WorkersCompensation.com Discloses Malware Attack Incident

Sarasota, FL (WorkersCompensation.com) – WorkersCompensation.com disclosed today that a malware code injection attack apparently targeted a handful of pages on the website late Sunday (6-16-2013) afternoon. In all, approximately 90 pages out of the more than 500,000 on the site were affected. The code attack was identified by company technicians as coming through a 3rd party advertising network.

As of mid-morning Monday, the 3rd party network access had been disabled, and the affected pages repaired.

The malware attempted to redirect users to another website when they viewed affected pages. Although the issue has been remedied, users of the Firefox and Google Chrome browsers may experience trouble accessing the website, as malware alerts are still in place. The company has requested a review of the files by Google in order to clear the malware alert as quickly as possible. Users of Internet Explorer are at this time not encountering any block or warning message.

This incident only affected the noted pages on WorkersCompensation.com. No other sites or products provided by the company, including WorkCompResearch.com, FlashForm SSL, The Virtual Claims Kit or CompEvent were affected.
