The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
OSHA extends comment period for heat illness prevention rule
In order to give stakeholders time to review all necessary information, OSHA has extended the comment period for the proposed rule on heat injury and illness prevention. The agency published the advance notice of proposed rulemaking on October 27 and included more than 100 questions to guide stakeholder comments. The comment period will now remain open until January 26, 2022.

Toolkit offers alternatives to wellness programs
Researchers at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and the Massachusetts Institute Sloan School of Management developed a toolkit to help employers foster health and well-being. The Work Design for Health framework relies on three strategies to reshape job conditions as an alternative to traditional wellness programs, which may be outside of company budgets.
