Wisconsin Insurance Examiner Elected President Of Regulatory Examiners Society

                               

Madison, WI - Wisconsin insurance examiner Jo LeDuc was elected to serve as president of the Insurance Regulatory Examiners Society (IRES). Her term runs through August 2009.

IRES is a national non-profit organization that works to enhance the efforts of insurance regulators by ensuring professionalism and integrity among those who serve with state and federal insurance regulatory bodies.

"Wisconsin has always worked to keep insurance regulation in the state strong and fair," said Sean Dilweg, Wisconsin Insurance Commissioner. "Having Jo LeDuc in a leadership role for IRES shows the strength of the Wisconsin regulatory environment and the expertise of our staff."

Jo LeDuc is an Advanced Insurance Examiner in the Bureau of Market Regulation with the Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCI). She has been with OCI since 1993 and has been a member of IRES since 1994. Prior to joining OCI, LeDuc held a position in the Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California as an underwriter and field representative. LeDuc has a Masters in Business Administration from California State University - East Bay and a Bachelors in Business Administration from California State University - Fresno.

Created by the Legislature in 1871, Wisconsin's Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCI) was vested with broad powers to ensure that the insurance industry responsibly and adequately met the insurance needs of Wisconsin citizens.
