Willis Appoints Adam Rosman Group Deputy General Counsel To Manage Worldwide Legal Team

New York, NY (CompNewsNetwork) – Willis Group Holdings (NYSE: WSH), the global insurance broker, today announced the appointment of Adam Rosman as Group Deputy General Counsel for Willis, and General Counsel for Willis HRH, the company's North American business, effective immediately.  Rosman will be the number two globally in Willis' Legal department, and his responsibilities will include supervising all attorneys at Willis worldwide on a day-to-day basis.  He will report to Adam Ciongoli, Group General Counsel of Willis Group Holdings.  In his capacity as General Counsel for Willis HRH, Rosman will work closely with Don Bailey, Chairman and CEO of Willis HRH, serving the legal needs of the North American business.

Commenting on the appointment, Ciongoli said, “We are thrilled to have Adam join our team.   He is a highly talented attorney and we are confident that his extensive in-house, private sector and government experience will be a tremendous asset to us.” 

Prior to joining Willis, Rosman served as Senior Vice President, Associate General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Cablevision Systems Corporation, a leading telecommunications and entertainment company based in Bethpage, N.Y.  Previously, Rosman was a partner at Zuckerman Spaeder LLP, a Washington D.C.-based law firm, where he advised public companies and senior executives on a range of topics, including Sarbanes-Oxley and related federal and state laws, public disclosures, internal investigations, and corporate governance.  

Rosman joined Zuckerman after serving from 1997 to 2003 as an Assistant United States Attorney in Washington, D.C., representing the United States in a range of matters in both the federal and local court systems.  During 2000 to 2001, Rosman took a leave from the United States Attorney's office to serve as Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Staff Secretary for President Bill Clinton.  

He has lectured extensively as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center.  Rosman is a graduate of Stanford Law School and Union College.
