TX Gov Reappoints Barnes to Texas Mutual Insurance Company Board of Directors

                               

Austin, TX (WorkersCompensation.com) - Gov. Rick Perry has reappointed Robert "Bob" Barnes of Granbury to the Texas Mutual Insurance Company Board of Directors for a term to expire July 1, 2019. The company acts as a competitive force in the workers' compensation market to guarantee the availability of workers' compensation in Texas and to act as the insurer of last resort. Barnes will continue to serve as chair of the board for a term to expire at the pleasure of the governor.

Barnes is a restaurateur, real estate developer and owner of Multi-Concepts Ltd., Vision Asset Management Ltd., and West Texas Investments Ltd. He is also former president and CEO of Schlotzsky's Ltd. He is an executive committee member and past president of the Texas Restaurant Association, and past chair of the Texas Motor Vehicle Board. He is also a founding member of the University of Texas of the Permian Basin Development Board and a past member of the Texas State Comptroller's Blue Ribbon Commission.
