TX DWC Adopts Rule Amendment For Notice Of Injured Employee Rights And Responsibilities

Austin, TX (CompNewsNetwork) - The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation's adopted amendment to 28 TAC § 120.2 clarifies the the Public Counsel of the Office of Injured Employee Counsel.

The purpose of the adoption is to implement statutory amendments to Texas Labor Code §404.109 under House Bill 673, enacted by the 81st Legislature, Regular Session (effective September 1, 2009). The adopted amendment to 28 TAC §120.2 will clarify that the Public Counsel of the Office of Injured Employee Counsel, after consulting with the Commissioner of Workers' Compensation, shall adopt the Notice of Injured Employee Rights and Responsibilities in the Texas Workers' Compensation System.
