Nashville, TN (CompNewsNetwork) - The four workers' compensation bills set to be heard by the Tennessee Legislators are:
HB 1963 - Imposes certain penalties on employers and employees in certain cases involving employees not authorized to work in the U.S. under federal immigration laws. - Amends TCA Title 50, Chapter 6 and Title 56.
HB 1500 - Adds additional injuries that are not covered by workers' compensation. - Amends TCA Section 50-6-110.
HB 1472 - Decreases amount of civil penalty commissioner of commerce and insurance may assess to insurance companies for failure to submit modification factors or rates from $2,000 per incident to $1,000 per incident. - Amends TCA Title 50 and Title 56.
HB 1471 - Requires the AOC to consult with the joint legislative workers' compensation committee when developing education programs related to workers' compensation for the annual meeting. - Amends TCA Title 50 and Title 56.
