AUSTIN, TX (WorkersCompensation.com) — The Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers' Compensation (TDI-DWC) will conduct a webinar for system participants entitled Pharmacy Formulary Rules on Monday, July 30, 2012. The webinar will be broadcast from 11 a.m. to noon Central Standard Time.
Due to limitations on the number of webinar participants, registration is required. After registering, participants will be provided log-in instructions via e-mail. The webinar will provide information on the TDI-DWC pharmacy closed formulary rules, adopted in December 2010 for both certified workers' compensation health care network and non-network claims with dates of injury on or after September 1, 2011. This session will provide information on the definition and application of both the open and closed formularies, including:
- preauthorization;
- timelines;
- transition of legacy claims;
- Medical Interlocutory Orders; and
- resources.
