South Carolina WCC Submits Mediation Regulations To General Assembly

Columbia, SC (WorkersCompensation.com) - At a Special Business Meeting on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, the Commission unanimously approved the final language for the new regulations for mediating workers' compensation cases. The proposed Regulation Document No. 4286 has been submitted to the General Assembly for final approval.
The proposed regulations add a new Article 18 for the purposes of establishing a defined mechanism to resolve disputes pursuant to Title 42 of the SC Code of Laws without the necessity of a hearing.
