SC Governor Haley Announces WCC Appointments

                               

Columbia, SC (WorkersCompensation.com) - Governor Nikki Haley yesterday announced appointments to the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission (WCC). Her appointments were as follows:

- The governor announced T. Scott Beck as the next Chairman of the WCC. A former member of the S.C. House of Representatives from North Augusta, Beck has served on the WCC since 2008 and previously served as Assistant Attorney General in the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of the S.C. Attorney General's office.

- The governor announced Andrea C. Roche's reappointment to the WCC. Roche previously served as WCC chairman.

- The governor also announced the appointment of Aisha Grant Taylor to the WCC.  A senior associate at Collins & Lacy, P.C., and a former Judicial Law Clerk in the office of The Honorable Brooks P. Goldsmith, Circuit Court Judge for 6th Judicial Circuit, Taylor was a captain of the 2002 NCAA National Championship Women's Track & Field Team at the University of South Carolina and a four-year SEC Scholar Athlete.

Seven commissioners, appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the S.C. Senate, serve on the WCC. Commissioners serve terms of six years each.
