Rising Medical Solutions Receives URAC Workers' Compensation Utilization Management Accreditation

CHICAGO, Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Rising Medical Solutions, Inc. (Rising), a leading medical cost containment and care management organization, announced today that it has been awarded the Workers' Compensation Utilization Management Accreditation from URAC, a Washington, DC-based health care accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the health care industry.

URAC's standards for this specific Accreditation require companies to address the unique aspects of the workers' compensation environment and ensure quality oversight for this fast growing area of managed care.

"In addition to examining our Utilization Review program, the URAC Accreditation process involved an audit of Rising's policies and procedures across the entire Company," comments CEO, Jason Beans. Rising's Utilization Review program serves payer clients nationwide and the URAC distinction complements the Company's requisite workers' compensation Utilization Review certifications in various states that require such credentials, including California, Texas and Illinois. The URAC Accreditation will also enable the Company to certify its Utilization Review program in additional states.
