Removal Of Physician From List To Treat Workers' Compensation Claimants

New York, NY (CompNewsNetwork) - Please be advised that, by Determination and Order (BPMC No. 09-08), effective January 19, 2009, a Hearing Committee of the New York State Department of Health, State Board for Professional Medical Conduct (BPMC), revoked Dr. Prem Nath's license to practice medicine in the State of New York.

Pursuant to Workers' Compensation Law Section 13-d(5), the Chair of the New York State Workers' Compensation Board has exercised his authority to remove Dr. Nath from the list of authorized physicians, effective February 25, 2009. Dr. Nath's last known address is Skyview Plaza, Suite 25, Route 59, Central Nyack, New York 10960.

Dr. Nath is prohibited from rendering medical or other treatment and care to individuals who have suffered work-related injuries or illnesses. Medical reports submitted by Dr. Nath for treatment rendered prior to January 19, 2009, are valid, but are invalid for any treatment rendered or examinations performed on or after that date. Requests to cross-examine Dr. Nath regarding treatment he rendered prior to January 19, 2009, should not be denied due to the revocation of his medical license or his removal from the list of authorized physicians.
