PMSI Receives Industry Innovator Award From The Institute for HealthCare Consumerism

Tampa, FL (WorkersCompensation.com) -  PMSI, one of the nation's largest providers of specialty products, services and clinical services for the workers' compensation and liability market, announced today that it is a recipient of the Industry Innovator Award from The Institute for HealthCare Consumerism.  The award is given to those companies that develop innovative solutions for the health and benefits management industry. In its 7th year, The HealthCare Consumerism Superstars and Innovator Awards are presented annually by HealthCare Consumerism Solutions, the official publication of The Institute for HealthCare Consumerism and a leading publication for innovative health and benefit management.

Using a data warehouse containing over 10 years of pharmacy transactions, PMSI's MedAssess™ Risk Intelligence System™  evaluates claims data to create a risk score at the population and individual claims level. This risk score is created based on PMSI's proprietary and clinical guidelines as well as national standards of practice. PMSI then works with payors to create intervention strategies as appropriate to control risk.
