Portland, OR (CompNewsNetwork) – The Workers' Compensation Division published new permanent rules, effective Jan. 1, 2009, along with a new bulletin. OAR 436-009-0018 and 0040, and Bulletin 352 "Fee discount agreement form and reporting" provide information regarding how insurers will report fee discount agreements to the division, along with the process that medical service providers and clinics will use if they enter into a fee discount agreement in the workers' compensation system.
Before insurers and self-insured employers can apply fee discounts to medical billings, they must:
Request a Personal Identification Number (PIN) from the Workers' Compensation Division.
Create an online account with the Workers' Compensation Division.
Report all Fee Discount Agreements to the Workers' Compensation Division online.
