OR DCBS Reports On 2008 Occupational Injury And Illness Survey Summary

                               

Portland, OR (CompNewsNetwork) - This report summarizes results of the annual Occupational Injury and Illness survey conducted by DCBS in cooperation with the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Oregon workers employed in the private sector during calendar year 2008 suffered work-related injuries and illnesses at a rate of 4.6 for every 100 full-time employees, the lowest ever recorded for the state of Oregon. The 2008 days away from work, job transfer, or restrictions (DART) rate was 2.8.
