OR DCBS Publishes Annual Compensable Fatality Report

Portland, OR (CompNewsNetwork) - The Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services published the Annual Fatality Report for 2009. The DCBS has received notification of a total of 31 compensable fatalities accepted for workers' compensation benefits for the calendar year 2009, compared with 45 in 2008..

The Annual Fatality Report presents compensable fatalities grouped by industry.  Previous year's counts back to 2005 are included for comparison.  Please note that the current year's data are preliminary until the final count is released in late spring of this year.
