Concord, NH (CompNewsNetwork) - Governor Lynch has signed House Bill HB 1371 , which will be effective January 1, 2011. This bill adds language to RSA 281-A:38, II, the Independent Medical Examination section. Specifically, the claimant will have the right to have a witness present during the examination who may observe and take notes, but not interfere in any way. However, if the claimant wants such a witness present, the claimant must sign an authorization acknowledging the loss of the right of privacy under these circumstances.
