New York Announces Removal of Doctors' From List Of Physicians Authorized To Treat Or Conduct IME Exams Of Workers' Compensation Claimants

                               

New York, NY (CompNewsNetwork) - New York Dept of Health announces removals from Workers' Compensation Physicians list.

New York Dept of Health announces that, by Surrender Order (BPMC No. 08–169) effective September 19, 2008, Dr. Ransier's application for surrender of her license to practice medicine in the State of New York was adopted by the New York State Department of Health, State Board for Professional Medical Conduct (BPMC).

Pursuant to Workers' Compensation Law Section 13–d(5), the Chair of the New York State Workers' Compensation Board has exercised his authority to remove Dr. Ransier from the list of authorized physicians, effective November 3, 2008. Dr. Ransier's current address is 41 Buxton Lane, P.O. Box 364, Stonington, Maine 04681–0364.

Dr. Ransier is prohibited from rendering medical or other treatment and care to individuals who have suffered work–related injuries or illnesses. Medical reports submitted by Dr. Ransier for treatment rendered prior to September 19, 2008, are valid, but are invalid for any treatment rendered on or after that date. Requests to cross–examine Dr. Ransier regarding treatment she rendered prior to September 19, 2008, should not be denied due to the surrender of her medical license or her removal from the list of authorized physicians.
