NE Solicitation for Proposals

Lincoln, NE (CompNewsNetwork) - The Nebraska Department of Insurance (the Department) is seeking to secure an agreement with an insurer or other contractor (that includes one or more insurers) to provide coverage for Nebraska employers that are in good faith entitled to, but are unable to obtain, workers' compensation insurance through ordinary methods. The effective date of the agreement will be January 1, 2010. The mechanism through which this assigned risk workers' compensation coverage will be provided shall be referred to in this solicitation as the Nebraska Workers' Compensation Insurance Plan (WCIP).
