NCCI Names New Members To 2009 Board Of Directors

Boca Raton, FL (CompNewsNetwork) - NCCI Holdings has elected Bruce Kessler, Michael Klein, George Reider, Jr., Brian Melas, and Barbara Klein to the 2009 Board of Directors.

* Bruce Kessler is the chief underwriting officer and executive vice president of ACE INA. He is responsible for overseeing all of the primary property and casualty underwriting activities for ACE USA, ACE Westchester Specialty Group, and ACE Private Risk Services.  

* Michael Klein is the president of Commercial Accounts for Travelers. He has overall responsibility for the company's midsized Standard Commercial lines of business written through more than 50 offices throughout the United States. 

* Barbara Klein, joining the board as an independent member, is a former senior vice president and chief financial officer of Computer Discount Warehouse (CDW).  Prior to working at CDW, she held positions of increasing responsibility in finance and accounting with firms such as NutraSweet Company; Sears, Roebuck and Company; Pillsbury; and Ameritech.

* Brian Melas is a senior vice president for Commercial Markets and manager, Commercial Markets Administration for Liberty Mutual. As manager for Commercial Markets Administration, he oversees the Commercial Financial, Actuarial, and Underwriting Strategy and Quality Assurance.  

* George M. Reider, Jr., also joining the board as an independent member, is a former insurance commissioner for the state of Connecticut and a prior president of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC).
