Helena, MT (CompNewsNetwork) - The Montana Department of Labor and Industry launched a new Claims Examiner Certification website. The 2009 Legislative Session passed the new voluntary Claims Examiner Certification process. The purpose of this legislation is to establish standards for the voluntary certification of workers' compensation claims examiners handling workers' compensation claims in the State of Montana. Its purpose is to also provide minimum qualifications; an examination; a two-year certification and renewal process; provide continuing education requirements; provide qualifications for Instructors and a waiver of examination requirements.
This function is located in the Claims Unit with the Employment Relations Division. This website will allow you to apply for a Certification/Waiver application; Certification Application and Testing Requirements; Renewal Certification and Continuing Education Application and Course Submission Application.
