MN Surplus Distribution Recovery Program

St. Paul, MN (CompNewsNetwork) - Commissioner of Labor and Industry Steve Sviggum and Commissioner of Commerce Glenn Wilson approved the WCRA Surplus Distribution Recovery Program on June 30, 2009.

The WCRA has calculated estimated 2010 assessments for insurers and self-insurers . Letters were sent on July 16 to the company contact and billing contact designated by each member.

The Department of Commerce is in the process of developing procedures for insurers to follow in billing and collecting deficiency assessments from workers' compensation policyholders beginning January 1, 2010.
