St. Paul, MN (CompNewsNetwork) - The Department of Commerce has approved procedures for insurers to follow in billing and collecting Deficiency Assessments from workers' compensation policyholders beginning January 1, 2010.
The Annual Ratemaking Report of the Minnesota Workers Compensation Insurers Association, Inc. will contain an Appendix approved by the Minnesota Commerce Department entitled Workers' Compensation Reinsurance Association Deficiency Assessment which addresses how carriers should handle the WCRA's Deficiency Assessment on issued workers compensation policies and other related issues.
