MedRisk's Expert Clinical Benchmarks Hosts International Scientific Advisory Board Meeting

                               

King of Prussia, PA (WorkersCompensation.com) - Top clinicians from around the world recently gathered at Amelia Island, Fla., as Expert Clinical Benchmarks (ECB), MedRisk's research and academic subsidiary, held its annual International Scientific Advisory Board (ISAB) meeting, May 4-6.

 

 

ISAB is an elite panel of world-renown physical medicine experts who support ECB). This group reviews the latest research in rehabilitative treatments and outcomes to ensure that MedRisk continues to deliver the highest quality of physical medicine treatment strategies to injured workers.  ECB also uses the board's work to develop and refine its physical medicine specific, evidence-based treatment guidelines. 

 

 

Held at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort, the meeting's clinical topics were designed to examine the current state of care in hand rehabilitation and shoulder research. Other sessions covered the business of rehabilitative therapy, including strategies in working with non-compliant providers and using functional capacity exams in referrals.
