Parsippany, NJ (CompNewsNetwork) - MedInsights, Inc., a leading workers' compensation managed care services provider, and myMatrixx™, a leading provider of pharmacy management solutions for workers' compensation claims, announced a new partnership that is expected to help reduce loss costs through an advanced technology platform. myMatrixx will enable MedInsights to leverage its integrated patient population data and case management capabilities to improve clinical outcomes and reduce the overall cost of workers' compensation claims.
"MedInsights sees myMatrixx as a key strategic partner in further mitigating the medical loss costs of our clients. NCCI data proves the proportional share of loss dollars for medical spend is increasing, so we sought a partner to continue to improve our outcomes," said Paula Woolworth, senior vice president of account management and managed care for GAB Robins, MedInsights' parent company. "myMatrixx will enable MedInsights to maximize its competitive advantage in a constantly evolving workers' compensation industry by enabling us to differentiate our services in the marketplace and to better serve our clients and their injured claimants."
"This partnership validates what we believed all along -- that technology is the enabler for self-insured companies, carriers and TPAs to distinguish their services, and myMatrixx is the company best suited to help them," said Steven MacDonald, CEO of myMatrixx. "Our advanced, ASP-based platform provides a web portal with consistent, real-time data across all activity-from the initiation of a claim through billing-that provides real-time, actionable information. Coupled with our powerful clinical programs, we will support MedInsights in helping claimants return to work faster and maintain optimal therapeutic benefit of pharmacologic agents. In addition, our technology immediately reduces call volume and improves adjuster, call center and case manager productivity- often within 60 days. And, myMatrixx will give MedInsights the utmost flexibility regarding Medicare Set Aside funds (MSAs)."
