KEMI Announces Management Promotions

Lexington, KY (WorkersCompensation.com) - Kentucky Employers’ Mutual Insurance (KEMI) is pleased to announce the promotion of several employees.

Scott M. B. Brown has joined KEMI as Legal Manager. Brown was most recently with Fowler Bell PLLC where he co-managed the workers’ compensation practice group, and he has more than 20 years of legal experience including 16 in private practice with a focus on Kentucky workers’ compensation.

Tim Feld, Esq. has been promoted to General Counsel. Feld served previously as Associate General Counsel and Director of Legal Services. Feld joined KEMI in 2016 after several years as founding partner with Feld & Hassman.

Elizabeth Paul, MBA, has been promoted to Vice President of Strategy, Innovation, and Marketing. Paul began her career at KEMI in 2008 and has served in a variety of roles, including the Director of Field Services where she oversaw the Premium Audit, Safety, Customer Service, and the Document Management Center teams.

Patrick Simpson has been promoted to Director of Internal Audit. Simpson has been with KEMI since 2007 and served previously as Senior Internal Auditor and as an Underwriter. He has earned several designations, including Certified Internal Auditor through the Institute of Internal Auditing and Associate in General Insurance through The Institutes.

Allyson Smith has been promoted to Associate General Counsel. Smith came to KEMI from Fogle, Keller, Purdy PLLC where she focused on workers’ compensation. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law and received her bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University.

Jeremy Terry has been promoted to Vice President of Policyholder Services. Terry joined KEMI as an underwriter in 2003 and has worked at various levels within the Underwriting department including supervisor, manager, and most recently, director. Terry holds the Associate in General Insurance (AINS) and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations.
