Iowa Updates Mileage Reimbursement Rate

Des Moines, IA (CompNewsNetwork) - The Iowa Division of Workers' Compensation rule 876-8.1(2) provides: "For annual periods beginning July 1, 2006, and thereafter, the per mileage rate shall be the rate allowed by the Internal Revenue Service for the business standard mileage rate in effect on July 1 of each year."  The IRS has amended the business standard mileage rate for July 1, 2011. Therefore, for all mileage accrued on or after July 1, 2011 shall be reimbursed at the said rate per mile.
