Bethesda, MD (WorkersCompensation.com) - In part one of this year's Coventry Drug Trends Series we reflect on retail and mail-order pharmacy trends. Some highlights include:

  • Opioid usage falling for five consecutive years
  • The largest decrease in average MED in the last five years
  • Specialty medications experienced slight increases while continuing to impact costs
  • AWP increases were slightly lower with a decrease in the generic category
