IAIABC 2019 NextGen Award Recipients Announced

Middleton, WI (WorkersCompensation.com) - IAIABC NextGen recognizes talented young professionals who are making a difference and having a positive impact in their organizations and the workers’ compensation industry. In an aging industry, the importance of developing and supporting the next generation of workers’ compensation leaders cannot be understated.

Selected from a group of worthy nominees, the IAIABC congratulates the following eight recipients of the 2019 IAIABC NextGen Award:

Caitlin Smith, Business System Analyst I, New York State Workers’ Compensation Board

Marques Torbert, CEO, Ametros

Derek West, Director of Business Transformation, Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation

“This year's NextGen recipients are outstanding and I am pleased that the IAIABC can celebrate and recognize those who are making a positive difference in their professions. They are providing the innovations and leadership we need to build a better future for workers' compensation systems,” says Abbie Hudgens, IAIABC president and administrator of the Tennessee Bureau of Workers’ Compensation.

Recipients will participate in a special session at the IAIABC 105^th Convention, “A Conversation with the NextGen,” on Wednesday, October 23 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Recipients will also be profiled in the December issue of Perspectives, the IAIABC’s quarterly digital magazine.
