IA 2010 Second Injury Fund Assessment

                               Des Moines, IA (CompNewsNetwork) - Sufficient funds are not presently available to meet the liabilities of the Second Injury Fund. Therefore, an assessment will be imposed upon insurers and self-insured employers in the State of Iowa.  The assessment is $4,000,000.00.  Those who have been assessed have been mailed notices from the Iowa Insurance Commissioner's office on August 16, 2010.  The assessment is due by September 30, 2010.
