California Gov. Appoints Three To Board Of Chiropractic Examiners

Sacramento, CA (WorkersCompensation.com) - Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. recently announced the following appointments to the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners:

Sergio Azzolino, 42, of San Francisco. Azzolino has been the director at Azzolino Chiropractic Inc. since 1995 and executive director at the Brain Balance Center of San Francisco since 2011. He served as faculty at Life Chiropractic College West from 1996 to 1999. Azzolino earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West. He is a diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board and holds board certification status in pain management through the American Academy of Pain Management. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Azzolino is a Democrat.

Heather Dehn, 41, of Sacramento. Dehn has been the owner of Dehn Chiropractic since 1995. She earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer Chiropractic College. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Dehn is a Republican.

Julie Elginer, 39, of Calabasas. Elginer has been a lecturer at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Public Health and founder of Elginer Advocacy Group since 2011. She was a graduate student researcher at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research from 2008 to 2010 and senior marketing manager at Amgen from 1999 to 2007. Elginer served as adjunct faculty for the Advisory Board Company at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing in 2002 and was a financial analyst for Abbott Laboratories from 1995 to 1997. She earned a Doctor of Public Health degree in health services from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master of Business Administration degree in marketing and strategy from the University of Maryland. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Elginer is registered decline-to-state.
