California Division Of Workers' Compensation Opens Registration For 16th Annual Educational Conference

Oakland, CA (CompNewsNetwork) - The California Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) is proud to announce that registration for its 16th annual educational conference is now open. The conference will take place Feb. 26-27, 2009 at the Los Angeles Sheraton Gateway Hotel and March 9-10, 2009 at the Oakland Marriott City Center Hotel.

Attendee and exhibitor registration forms may be downloaded from the conference Web site at http://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/educonf16/DWC_EducationalConference.html.

Conference updates, including copies of handout material, the conference program and the final agenda, will also be posted on the site. Registrants will receive a postcard confirmation once their registration form is received. Registration forms and flyers were mailed this week to the 7,515 names on the conference mailing list. Registration forms are also available at the front counters of the 24 DWC district offices in the state.

This annual event is the largest workers' compensation training in the state and allows claims administrators, medical providers, attorneys, return to work specialists, employers and others to learn firsthand about the most recent developments in the system—such as the Electronic Adjudication Management System—as well as ongoing DWC programs. The conference is certified for continuing education credits by attorney, rehabilitation counselor, case manager, qualified medical examiner and claims adjuster organizations.

The 2008 conference completely sold out with 800 registrants and 50 exhibitors at each location, so DWC encourages attendees and exhibitors to register early.
