Reading, CA (CompNewsNetwork) - The California Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) will conduct Redding's first free Spanish-language seminar on workers' compensation benefits this Wednesday, June 30 from 6-7:30 p.m. The seminar will take place at the North Valley Catholic Social Services in Washington Plaza. A labor commissioner representative will also be on hand to talk about working conditions and wage laws.

“If you're a Spanish speaking employee in Northern California who was injured at work, or who just wants to learn your rights in the workplace, we're here to help,” said DWC acting Administrative Director Carrie Nevans.

At the seminar employees will receive information on medical treatment, disability payments, returning to work after an injury and resolving a dispute over a claim. The seminar will also cover minimum wage, rest and meal breaks and overtime pay. Following the presentations, DWC and labor commissioner representatives will answer questions from attendees.
