CA DWC Announces Medical Provider Network (MPN) Public Meeting

Sacramento, CA (WorkersCompensation.com) - The Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) has scheduled a public meeting to discuss the issues related to drafting regulations regarding the SB 863 changes to medical provider networks. The meeting will be held:

Date: Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013
Time: 10 a.m. to noon
Place: Elihu Harris State Office Building – Auditorium
1515 Clay Street
Oakland, CA 94612

This is the first opportunity for the public to provide input to the Division on regulations to implement MPN changes under SB 863. Specifically, the following issues will be addressed:

  • New MPN applicants
  • Reapproval process
  • Petition process for MPN auspension/revocation
  • Administrative penalties
  • MPN audits/investigations
  • Independent Medical Review (IMR) process
