BWC Appoints Service Office Managers in Lima, Toledo

Columbus, OH (CompNewsNetwork) - Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) Administrator Marsha Ryan has selected Winnie Warren and Bernadette Delgado as customer service office managers. Warren will manage the Lima office and Delgado the Toledo office.

“Winnie and Bernadette both have substantial backgrounds in workers' compensation and excellent experience in customer service,” said Ryan. “I am confident in their ability to lead the day-to-day operations of the Lima and Toledo customer service offices and provide optimal customer service to employers and injured workers. I'm also confident in their ability to manage the fiscal responsibilities of these offices, which today are more lean and efficient following several recent initiatives to better manage loss and operating costs.”

BWC has 15 customer service offices throughout the state. They serve as the primary points of contact for injured workers and employers in Ohio's 88 counties. As one of several changes to make the most of available resources, BWC recently consolidated several customer service offices and relocated staff to meet the evolving needs of customers and cut costs by more than $800,000 during the current budget cycle.

Warren has worked for BWC for more than 15 years in such capacities as claims service specialist, employer services specialist, employer management supervisor. Warren also has been involved with various quality service groups and is due to graduate as an Ohio Certified Public Manager in December. Warren graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor's in business administration.

Delgado had served as the interim Toledo manager since July. Delgado started with BWC in June of 1994 as a workers' comp claims representative 2 in the Cleveland Lausche Customer Service Office. BWC promoted her to a workers' comp claims specialist supervisor in April 2000 and then to the assistant Garfield Heights Customer Service Office Manager in October 2003. Delgado received a bachelor's degree from Oberlin College.

The Lima office serves Allen, Auglaize, Defiance, Hancock, Hardin, Henry, Mercer, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert and Williams Counties. The Toledo office covers Fulton, Lucas, Wood, Ottawa and Sandusky Counties.
