Bob Wilson to Keynote Kids' Chance of New Jersey Annual Fundraising Gala

Iselin, NJ (WorkersCompensation.com) – Bob Wilson is scheduled to be the Keynote speaker at the upcoming Annual Fundraising Gala benefiting Kids' Chance of New Jersey. The gala will be held July 11, 2019 at the Delta Hotel (Formerly the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel) in Iselin, NJ. The evening is a primary fundraiser supporting the scholarship organization. Kids’ Chance of New Jersey was created to provide scholarships for college and vocational education to children of New Jersey workers who have been fatally or catastrophically injured in a work-related accident. The hardships to children and families created by the death or serious disability of a parent often include financial ones, making it difficult for deserving young people to pursue their educational dreams.

At last year’s event over 400 Guests and Workers’ Compensation industry professionals from across the state came together to raise funds and honor scholarship recipients. Since their inception in 2011 over $140,000 in Scholarships have been awarded to nineteen students whose parents suffered a fatal or catastrophic injury in a work-related accident.

Wilson is president and CEO of WorkersCompensation.com, and author of the blog, From Bob’s Cluttered Desk. He has been active in the Kids’ Chance organization for many years. He is a founding board member and current president for Kids’ Chance of Florida and has served on the Advisory Board to Kids’ Chance of America. This year he was appointed Chair of the Council of States, as well as to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for KCOA. He says, “I look forward to speaking at and supporting this event. Kids’ Chance is one of the most rewarding endeavors of my lifetime, and I have had the privilege of being involved with a number of state organizations. We have the honor around the nation of assisting some very worthy kids.” Wilson intends to discuss the impact of building a better community, as well as the strength and character of the typical Kids’ Chance scholarship recipient.

And, he says, “I might tell a joke or two.”

People interested in attending the gala can get information at the Kids’ Chance of New Jersey website.
