ASSE Free Webcast On Safety Incentives Now Available

                               

Des Plaines, IL - The American Society of Safety Engineers' (ASSE) free hour-long webinar held Wednesday, May 12 featuring Secretary of Labor for OSHA, Dr. David Michaels, on the issue of safety incentives is available for all to listen at http://eventcenter.commpartners.com/se/Meetings/Playback.aspx?meeting.id=504812.

The free webcast conversation with the new assistant secretary is titled “A Conversation with Assistant Secretary for OSHA Dr. David Michaels – What to Do About Safety Incentives?” About 1500 people registered for the event where Assistant Secretary Michaels answered questions and responded to comments from ASSE members and others on the topic of how to determine the difference between appropriate and inappropriate safety incentives in the workplace and how to address inappropriate incentives. Dr. Michaels expressed an interest in talking with the safety and health profession about the challenging issues OSHA and the occupational safety and health profession are facing. He said he looks forward to talking with ASSE members at the ASSE Safety 2010 Professional Development Conference to be held this June 13-16 in Baltimore. Dr. Michaels will be the plenary speaker on Monday, June 14.
