Amerisure Announces Executive Leadership Change

                               

Farmington Hills, MI (WorkersCompensation.com) - Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company is pleased to announce the hire of its new chief financial officer (CFO) and treasurer, Robert Bateman, who will join the company in May 2019. Current CFO and treasurer Matthew Simon is retiring after 21 years of service.

Bateman joins Amerisure after holding the role of CFO with Infinity Property & Casualty Corporation, which wrote over $1.5 billion in annual premium. He led reserving and pricing, and reinsurance, in addition to traditional finance, accounting an investment functions. Prior to that, he served as CFO at Country Financial. At the mutual organization, he oversaw strategic and operational planning, reinsurance, controllers, actuarial, enterprise risk management and investments. Bateman also held numerous leadership roles at The Hartford — including CFO of the company’s commercial insurance businesses, before becoming corporate controller.

Bateman earned his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Connecticut and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
