Kids’ Chance of California Awards $323,365 in Scholarships to 47 Students 

                               

Encinitas, CA — September 5, 2025— Kids’ Chance of California, a nonprofit dedicated to providing educational opportunities to children of California workers seriously injured or killed on the job, proudly announces the awarding of 47 scholarships totaling $323,365 for the 2025–2026 academic year. 

This year’s awards include 16 new recipients and 31 re-applicants, reflecting the organization’s ongoing commitment to supporting students throughout their educational journeys. 

Since its founding in 2012, Kids’ Chance of California has awarded scholarships to 373 students, distributing nearly $2.3 million in total scholarship dollars. 

“Our mission is to help children facing unimaginable challenges pursue their educational dreams,” said Kristen Chavez, President.  “With this year’s awards, we are proud not only to support more students, but also to meet a higher percentage of their financial needs than ever before.”
