Willis Names Lorsung To Lead Minneapolis Commercial Construction Practice

New York, NY,  (CompNewsNetwork) - Willis Group Holdings announced the appointment of Chris Lorsung as Leader of the Company's Minneapolis Commercial Construction Practice, effective immediately. He will retain his title of Senior Vice President, Willis of Minnesota, Inc. Lorsung's responsibilities will include leading a team of 46 professionals and driving growth and profitability for the unit.  Lorsung succeeds Andy Mahoney, who will continue with Willis focusing on servicing existing clients and helping the leadership team to grow the practice via new business production.  

Commenting on the appointment, Al Thomas, Managing Partner for Willis' operations in Minnesota, said, “I am confident Chris' talent and experience will enable us to continue to provide high-quality insurance brokerage and risk management services to our existing clients, while leading a concerted effort to grow the practice by attracting new clients.”

Chris Lorsung joined Willis in 1999 from The St. Paul Insurance Company where he held various underwriting and managerial roles within the insurer's Construction Unit.  He is a graduate of St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota, and earned his MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.  He is the past President of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Subcontractor's Association (ASA).
