Willis Group Appoints Industry Leader To U.S. Aerospace Practice

New York, NY (CompNewsNetwork) - Willis Group Holdings (NYSE: WSH), the global insurance broker, today announced the appointment of Neil Getter to the Willis Aerospace Leadership team as Executive Vice President, Willis of New York Inc., effective immediately. Based in New York, Getter will be responsible for further developing the aviation business in the U.S., including general aviation, airlines, and manufacturers, and assist the Company's efforts in client retention, new business production, and talent development. He will also work closely with the Willis Aerospace team in London to service international clients.
Commenting on the appointment, Joe Trotti, Chief Executive Officer, Global Specialties, Willis, and Executive Vice President, Willis of New York, Inc., said, "Neil's depth of experience, leadership, and resources will be a major asset to the Willis Aerospace Practice in the U.S. and throughout the globe under the One Flag of Willis. Getter brings to Willis more than 30 years experience working with all facets of the aviation industry, including domestic and international airlines, corporate industrial aid, product manufacturers, aerospace, and mergers and acquisition. He was most recently at Aon where he was a Regional Practice Leader and Senior Account Executive working with U.S. and international clients.
He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with Honors from Hofstra University, and a Masters of Business Administration in Marketing from New York University Leonard Stern School of Business. He is currently enrolled as a candidate for a Masters of Science in Homeland Security at Long Island University.
