UnitedHealth Group Purchases Minority Stake In Sedgwick Claims Management Services

Claims and Productivity Management Services Provider and Health and Well-Being Company to Continue Development of Integrated Solutions for Employer Plans
Memphis, TN (CompNewsNetwork) - Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc., (Sedgwick CMS), a leading provider of claims and productivity management solutions, and UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH) today announced that UnitedHealth Group has purchased a minority interest in Fidelity Sedgwick Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Sedgwick CMS, from the principal shareholders of Fidelity Sedgwick Holdings. The parties to the transaction with UnitedHealth Group are Fidelity National Financial, Inc., (NYSE:FNF); Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P; and Evercore Partners (NYSE:EVR).

Sedgwick CMS and UnitedHealth Group announced last December an agreement for the joint development of a program for the integrated servicing of employer-sponsored disability, group medical, workers’ compensation and leave and absence programs.
