Texas Workers’ Compensation Educational Session Announced In Lufkin and New Lufkin Office Location

Austin, TX (CompNewsNetwork) - The Lufkin Field Office of the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation (TDI) is hosting a brown bag educational session for health care providers, employers, human resource managers and employee organizations on Tuesday, February 14, 2008. The topic is the Change of Treating Doctor Process. This free session will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at new location of the Lufkin Field Office, 310 Harmony Hill Drive, Suite 100. Following a presentation the session is an open forum in which participants may ask questions.

The Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation will close its Lufkin Office on Friday, February 1, 2008 to move to a new location. The office will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday, February 4, 2008 for service.  The Lufkin Office serves Angelina, Hardin, Houston, Jasper, Nacogdoches, Newton, Polk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Jacinto, Shelby, Trinity and Tyler Counties.

The new address of the Lufkin Office is 310 Harmony Hill Drive, Suite 100, Lufkin, Texas, 75901, MS-205. The telephone number will remain 936-639-6425 and the fax number will remain 936-639-6423.
