03 Jul, 2008 WorkersCompensation.com
Austin, TX (CompNewsNetwork) - Texas Commissioner of Workers' Compensation
Albert Betts repealed 28 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) §134.401 concerning the acute
care inpatient hospital fee guideline, which covered reimbursement for inpatient hospital
fees for services related to admissions prior to March 1, 2008.
The repeal of
28 TAC §134.401 was necessary due to the adoption of 28 TAC §134.403 and §134.404, which
implement Texas Labor Code §413.011, adopting standardized reimbursement structures using
the most current methodologies, models, values and weights used by the Centers for Medicare
and Medicaid Services (CMS). 28 TAC §134.403 and §134.404 apply to hospital
admissions on or after March 1, 2008.
The repeal is posted on the TDI website at http://www.tdi.state.tx.u s/wc/rules/adopted/adopted.html. For more information on the Hospital Facility Fee Guidelines — Outpatient and Inpatient, visit the TDI website at http://www.tdi.state.tx.us/wc/f ee/feetraining.html.
