New York Announces Removal Of Doctor From List Of Physicians Authorized To Treat Work Comp Claimants

                               

Albany, NY (CompNewsNetwork) - The New York Workers Compensation Board has announced the removal of the following physicians authorization to treat workers' compensation patients or Conduct Independent Medical Examinations.

MARTIN EHRENBERG, M.D. (Authorization No. 158188-3W)

Please be advised that, by Surrender Order (BPMC No. 07-273) of the New York State Department of Health, State Board for Professional Medical Conduct, effective December 20, 2007, Dr. Martin Ehrenberg surrendered his license to practice medicine in the State of New York, or in any other jurisdiction where that practice is predicated on a valid New York State license to practice medicine.

Pursuant to Workers' Compensation Law Section 13-d(5), the Chair of the New York State Workers' Compensation Board has exercised his authority to remove Dr. Ehrenberg from the list of authorized physicians, effective February 4, 2008. Dr. Ehrenberg's current address is 116 East 84th Street, New York, New York 10028.

Dr. Ehrenberg is prohibited from rendering medical or other treatment and care to individuals who have suffered work–related injuries or illnesses. Medical reports submitted by Dr. Ehrenberg for treatment or examinations rendered prior to December 20, 2007, are valid, but are invalid for any treatment or examinations rendered on or after that date. Requests to cross–examine Dr. Ehrenberg regarding treatment or examinations he rendered prior to December 20, 2007, should not be denied due to the surrender of his license or his removal from the list of authorized physicians.
