Maryland Announces Changes To The Official Guide Of Medical And Surgical Fees Regulation

Baltimore, MD (CompNewsNetwork) - The Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission announced the adoption, with minor, non-substantive changes, of the proposed amendments to COMAR 14.09.03 Guide of Medical and Surgical Fees.
It is anticipated that the final regulation will be published in the March 14, 2008 Maryland Register with an effective date of March 24, 2008. In anticipation of the forthcoming changes.
The Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission will be conducting two orientation/training sessions in an effort to assist the community in the calculation of the new Maximum Reimbursement Allowable (“MRA”) brought about by recent changes to the regulations controlling the Official Maryland Workers’ Compensation Medical Fee Guide.
The Commission will be conducting two sessions on the following dates, at the following location
Tuesday, March 18, 2008
Wednesday, March 19, 2008

Each session is anticipated to last one hour and space is limited.
